Prolouge: So It Begins...

"It sure is" Owen replied to the doctor, just then the doors whooshed open. "Pleasure talking to you Doctor" he said with a smile and with a nod left the turbolift and made his way along the corridor until he entered main engineering.

[Ensign Alyeska]

Xanta returned the captain's smile just as the doors were closing. He's friendly, she thought as the turbolift brang her to deck 5. She stepped off the turbolift and returned to sickbay.

"Welcome back" Morgan said to Xanta as he examined a tube he was anaylizing at the moment and then set it down in one of the instruments before pressing one of the panels. "Anaylasis in progress" the computer said in it's usual voice.

[Ensign Alyeska]

"Thanks," Xanta responded. "What are you working on?" she asked, walking over to Morgan.

[TheHunter]

"Cell anaylasis, a crewman actually willingly came in for a physical before we asked for anyone to come..." Morgan said with obvious suprise, not many people volinteered to come for there physical when they came onto a new ship.

[Ensign Alyeska]

"Interesting," Xanta said. "Well, I think it's time we start getting the rest of the crew in here for their physicals. Are you ready?" she asked.

"Thanks for taking the notes Kath." Lt. Eliza Jane Harper said to Kathleen with a bit of a grin. After reviewing a bit more on the PADD she went to work again. "Kath, would you mind working with Ensign Sela on the sensor network. I wanted to be able to extend a bit farther and also boost the signal more...sort of to be more clear and precise as well." Eliza Jane explained to Kathleen. She looked at her for a moment. "Ensign Sela is in the back at one of the work stations near the hatch that leads in and out of engineering."

Morgan looked at Xanta with a bit of a grin "I'm ready if you are" he replied to the Doctor wondering if the crew will want to walk slowly to sickbay, maybe even take the jefferies tubes to get here late.

Owen made his way along the ground of engineering taking in the detail once more, he had already seen the ship and specifications quite a few times, he saw the chief and made his way over to her. "Lt, i need to talk to you in private" he said as he gestured to an area in engineering where it was unlikely any of the other crewman would hear.

Kathleen nodded to Eliza's request and to the Captain, then headed to the back of engineering.

(OOC: I'm not exactly sure how they get the word out about physicals, so I'm just going to think of some way.)

IC: Nodding, Xanta said, "Yes, I'm ready." She tapped her combadge. "Doctor Nar to crew. We are starting physicals down in sickbays, so please report to sickbay when your duties permit," she said. Xanta glanced over at Morgan with a half smile and a slightly raised eyebrow.

Jonus retook his seat at the helm. He wished he could feel....anything. Deep down, though, he was a little glad to be back in the helm seat. It seemed to be the only thing right now keeping him from going crazy

Eliza Jane looked at the captain,and sighed on the inside. "Alright." Eliza Jane said on the quiet side,but not timidly. She was a bit upset at being pulled away from work. Lt. Harper walked over to where the captain had gestured. She folded her arms as she waited for him to speak.

Morgan returned the smile and made his way back into the main area of sickbay awaiting the first self-thinking doomed crewmembers to come.

Owen heard the comm from Xanta and rose his head slightly as he listened, he made a note to go and see her after this. Unlike most Captains, Owen wasn't always the last person to go to sickbay which always resulted in Captain Hunting which doctors hated but fourtantly for the medical staff, Owen was always a willing participant. He then followed Eliza and spoke up. "Lt would care to explain why you we're not at the meeting" he said in a Captain's voice, true Kathleen had told her but he wanted to hear from Eliza herself.

Xanta followed Morgan into the main section of Sickbay and waited with him.

"Well, I was going to attend,but we had a sudden invasion of unknown aliens that were attracted to the warp core." Eliza Jane joked a bit. Maybe something that's a bit believable. "Well, what about a holodeck going amuck...no?" Okay I'm in trouble. Truth time.

"Engineering duties." Lt. Harper told Captain Star. "We left a little early so I wanted to get every system working better that it's supposed to. It is possible,sir." That was basically the sum of it all. "Of course I do have a few other ideas as well,and once started they have to be monitored."
