Stardate: 56000.601 Date: 1st June 2379
"Captain's log stardate 56000.601, I am awaiting my new ship...the USS Athena a intrepid class. After serving on 4 previous ships this will be my second command and fifth ship. I hope that i will Command it's crew and it's bulkheads the same and if not better than i have always done.
I am currently on Deep Space Nine where most of my crew are onboard, i have been told in advance that 10% of my crew may not arrive in time and will have to join at a later date, however i am confident that the 90% crew will suffice as a 110% crew which i always believe.
Our first mission is well...unproffesionaly speaking rather boring but i guess all shakedown missions are but you never know, being a starfleet officer...weird is in the job description so anything could happen.
End Log" Finished the Captain of the newly comminsioned ship, U.S.S Athena NCC-86546 an Intrepid and the prime of it's class except the infamous Voyager.
Owen Star stood up from his chair and made a quick look around his tempoary 'deluxe' quarters on the DS9 outpost, he went to the replicator and replicated some Bolian Tonic water, he took the drink and sat back down on the chair along with picking up a PADD in which he began reading.
It was a starfleet personel list of his new crew, paticuarly his senior staff and few random officers.

Eliza Jane Harper was currently on route to DS9. Once there she was told to wait for her ship, but not how long she had to wait. That was driving her a little crazy. Also the fact that she had to wait for the ship to arrive. It all just seemed so backwards to her. Eliza Jane began to read one of the books she had packed with her, though she would much prefer some activity in a holodeck this would have to do.

Lieutenant Xanta Nar stepped out into the Promenade on DS9 and started gazing around, almost completely unaware of the people around her. Suddenly she bumped into someone, and she was immediately brought down to earth. Xanta turned and saw who she had run into: a Klingon. "Watch where you're going," the Klingon said gruffly, and then added, "Sir," when she saw the pips on Xanta's collar. "I'll be careful, Ensign," she said in response, nodded, then walked slowly off, gazing about her but keeping an eye on the people around her, so she wouldn't bump into anymore people accidentally.
Baro'Garen, the Klingon Xanta had bumped into, watched her walk off and thought, Who was that? She got off a bit after me, so she might be one of my crewmates... I should try to find out when the ship is coming. It took her a while, but she evintually found out that no one knew when the ship would arrive, so Baro'Garen had to be content with waiting.

Commander Tim Simpson
Tim wasn’t just looking like human but also acting like one. He always had a problem on both sides of this factor. Humans said he shouldn’t try so hard to be human, Vulcans said he should try to content these feelings and Tim was never in a position were he could jest be. It wasn’t something he had total control off since he carried both Human and Vulcan genes. Simpson was in his room, once again with woman trouble. He had fallen for this amazing girl, had one of the best two nights and then she left. He tried to find how she left the station and with who, but it was nearly impossible. He had met her in the bar, she approached him and both him a drink. It wasn’t like he was heart broken or even close, but still he felt very different and disappointed. The ship was not here yet, he knew no one on the station or any of his new crew members. “I can read all I want to, but its not going to help me at all. I need to meet these people, these records tell me nothing.” He didn’t even know the captain yet. This girl just wouldn’t let him leave the room and move on with his daily nothingness. Tim had now spend 14 days on this station awaiting for the new assignment. Simpson did not like starbases so this was worse than torture for him. And even so, he thought of asking for a reassignment on the base for a change. He couldn’t stand to do nothing. He played cards, taboo, a bit drinking, halodeck and more, but nothing seems to just take care of his need to be productive. The commander even tried to take a shift or two on the base while there. He spoke to the captain and a few senior staff to just relive them for couple of hours. Some of them had important matters to attend and they agreed, but some looked even more despaired to work than him.

((OCC: A little note simpson..um are you aware of Deep Space Nine and that?, sorry for asking..just curious because something you said confused me))
Owen was almost done reading through the records of his soon to be crew, he smiled as looked at Morgan Lore's one. He raised his head as he remembered the young man, he was a good friend of his son. Staying silent and motioneless for a few moments he went back to reading a little more.
Captain Star stood up placing the PADD on the nearby table as he walked out the whooshing doors and took a stroll around the promenade.

It had been at least one hour and Eliza Jane had gotten board of reading the book. "Are we there yet?" She asked the ensign who was taking her. "Not yet." He replied. Eliza Jane had an annoyed look. She sighed. "When then?" She asked looking at him. "Soon." Eliza rolled her eyes. "Soon?" Eliza Jane let out a sigh. "What does the readout say mister?" Eliza asked a tad irritated. "Oh it reads one hour and fifteen minutes." He told her. "Well find a way to speed it up!" She snapped. The Ensign looked at her for a moment and nodded slightly. "Oy Vey." She said to herself as she slumped in her chair.

Xanta requested, and received, some temporary quarters. She was tired, and wandering around the station had gotten boring. I wish the Athena was here. Then I could check out the sickbay. But alas, it isn't here yet, and no one seems to know exactly when it's going to arrive, she thought, I'll try to find out after I get some sleep. After laying down on the bed, Xanta asked the computer to wake her up in an hour, but if the USS Athena came before then, to wake her up then.
Baro'Garen decided to go to the bar and get a glass of prune juice. I've heard that it's good, and it won't hurt Klingons. It's time to see if it really is good or not, she thought. When she tasted it, she knew that she had been told right.

Eliza Jane was still impatiently waiting to arrive at the station. Although the shuttle had sped up a bit she wanted to get off. Eliza couldn't stand being in one place for a very long time, especially in a type 2 shuttle with not much to nothing to do. Why did I agree to be ferried? She asked herself in thought as she massaged the sides of her forehead for a moment.

Commander Tim Simpson
“Water, cold” He said angry while standing next to the replicator in his room. “Please specify the temperature” “V-E-R-Y COLD, I mean come on what kind of a questions is that… how cold!?” The replicator complied and the water glass materialized. “I need to go and do something other than sit here all day, Ill find the captain and finally meet him. Computer locate Captain…” Tim reached for the table and grabbed the PADD “Owen Star” “Captain Star is on the promenade , Quark’s bar” “O great, like I have not had enough drinks and gambling this two weeks.” Simpson lest the room and headed for the bar to meet the captain. He saw a few people that were going to be on his ship, mainly from their files and pictures.

Baro'Garen glanced over at a man who was sitting not too far away from her. Looks like Captain... what was his name? Owen Star, she thought. She looked back down at her glass, and drank the last of her prune juice. After paying for her drink, she went over to him. "Excuse me, sir," Baro'Garen said, "I am Ensign Baro'Garen, your assistant security officer."

"We'll be arriving at Deep Space Nine in about 25 minutes." Announced the ensign. Finally a little closer. "Good." Eliza Jane said sounding a tad annoyed although she was pleased that they were closer. She knew she'd be happier, well actually happy when they docked. I can't wait to stretch my legs.I think I know how a bird feels to be trapped inside a cage.

Neveah stepped off the transporter pad on Deep Space 9, and glanced briefly about. The Ensign at the controls nodded to her, and Neveah nodded back, then headed to the door, slinging her bag over her shoulder, making sure to fling her hair back over her shoulder before hand, so that it wouldn't get stuck. She stepped out of the transporter room, and glanced about, then headed to the bar, snce she was a bit thirsty.
Kathleen's hands wento ver the console in front of her in a circular, methodical manner that was most efficient for her and the running of the ship. Dr. Forth, across the bridge, was working on a few last minute downloads of Kathleen's apparel, instructions for her alcove, and nutrition information. Kathleen was working on docking the ship at Deep Space Nine, where, if all went well, she would board the USS Athena, a new ship which she was supposed to go aboard as an observer.
Dr. Forth had contacted an Admiral who was going to Deep Space Nine, and who would see to it that Kathleen was given passage aboard the Athena. Kathleen, had it been in her nature to wonder, would have wondered heartily what her new crewmembers would be like, and what they would think of her. She did have a bit of uneasiness, or 'apprehension' as she put it, that the crew would not accept her. After all, the borg weren't very popular among humans, or for that matter, any culture worth mentioning...and a few that weren't.
